Our new counter depth refrigerator fits my kitchen great. The kitchen is small so this is just what we needed.The refrigerator space is great. The freezer space is too small. We had to go back and purchase a freezer to put in the garage for addition freezer space.

Lighting on the inside is so nice and bright. French doors open ride for getting items into and out of the refrigerator. So user-friendly. Best refrigerator I have ever had in my life.

A little noisy at times (hardly noticeable), but is performing well so far. A minor irritant is the design flaw that the glass shelves don't have stops in the rear, so when you push items on the shelves to the back they fall in the gap between the glass and rear of the refrigerator. Other brands have them. How could Whirlpool miss this up during testing? The ice maker is great and I like that the maker is in the freezer section and taking up valuable space in the refrigerator. I was somewhat skeptical about the interior water dispenser, but it has worked flawlessly. The most beneficial feature in the wide storage drawer. I use it for sandwich meats, cheese, bacon, etc. The stainless steel exterior is easily cleaned. Overall, I believe I made a good purchase, but time will tell. Always cautious when it comes to appliances. I did buy a 3 year warranty when I bought the unit.

Works great...love fingerprint resistant feature...only issue is door doesn't close evenly...when closed door gap is wider at the top then the bottom...had Lowe's come look at it but they said there is no adjustment for doors.

Freeze seems to build up ice on back and top. Light switch function in freeze does not work well due to freezing up. So light does not come on most of the time when drawer opens. I wish someone would call me on this. Service people that Whirlpool recommends in our are have terrible reviews, so we have not reported.

Not a great start - pump for water dispensing replaced as soon as we obtained unit under warranty - tech said this is a common problem - then make sure water lines are properly secured for use, or they make noise when fridge cycles on.
Otherwise, nice roomy layout, controls easily seen & adjusted.

We have a small kitchen so we opted for the counter depth model. It works very well...it keeps things cold and the thermostat is pretty accurate. The only complaint I would have is that any y'all items you have that need to stand upright will need to be stored in the doors...the shelves inside will not accommodate a 2 liter container of soda or wine bottles. Also when you have the middle shelf y'all enough to accommodate a half gallon container of milk or juice then the top and bottom shelves can only accommodate smaller items like a jar of pickles or jams..but I guess that's the trade-off for a counter depth model so we make it work.
The freezer doesn't look very large but it will accommodate frozen bags of vegetables and ice cream. It holds more than you would think.
I really enjoy the water spout on the inside, and the ice maker works well.
All in all I'm pleased. It sure does look nice in our new kitchen!

Had this installed with a remodel. Love the Counter depth. I am able to get everything into the fridg that I did a regular depth. First time with French Doors and will never go back. Love he Water Dispenser inside the door and ice maker keeps is amazing. (we use alot of ice in a day).

We love the way the fridge looks in the kitchen. Nice and sleek. I'm a little confused as to why the interior shelves do not go all the way to the back of the fridge as you have to be careful not to place small items back there - they fall through. Love the ice maker and the water from the interior water dispenser is great tasting. The freezer does not have a lot of space but since we have 2 fridges and a small chest freezer, it isn't a huge issue.

We were going from a regular depth refrigerator to a countertop depth. I was concerned that the loss of volume would be an issue but that hasn't been the case.
This refrigerator has the water dispenser on the inside and through the door dispensers so this helps with the useable space. However, sometimes the water dispenser drips if you take your container away too quickly.
I don't understand why countertop depth refrigerators are so much more expensive than regular depth ones.

Have had this fridge for two months now and love it. It has the perfect amount of space and affords lots of storage with the door compartments and the adjustable shelves. The interior water dispenser is also very useful (though maybe not as useful as an outside one). The only thing I don't love 100% is the deli drawer that goes all the way across the length of the fridge. This means you have to open both doors to access whatever you put in there. Overall would definitely recommend. Also, you can't go wrong with a counter-depth fridge.

When my refrigerator of 16 years failed I had no choice but to switch from bisque (almost nothing available) to stainless. I was concerned that a full size stainless refrigerator was going to really stand out too much so started looking at counter depth. I wanted a clean look and have been happy with my choice. While it does not hold as much, at 20 cu. ft. there is definitely enough room for food for two people. I like the ice in the freezer and the water dispenser in the door. It gives me more space in the refrigerator as they are not both located in the door. This model is also fingerprint resistant which is a great plus. I think it is quiet. It is annoying to have to open both doors to access the lower middle drawer but they all appear to be designed that way. I will mention that the first refrigerator that was delivered did not cool and it took another week to get a new one. It's only been 3 weeks but so far I have had no problems. Eventually I will switch to all stainless.

In a world where alternative facts seem popular, I am cautious to take anyone's product review seriously. I got burned by an expensive, high tech refrigerator made by a company known for communication devices so I decided to switch to Whirlpool, not just for the refrigerator, but for its company reputation. I wanted peace of mind.
This fridge was immediately a family favorite. Its design makes it easier to use than our previous side by side layout; it has simple controls for setting the temperature and makes ice like a charm. The fingerprint resistant finish saves me work and aggravation. The fact it has raised instead of recessed handles means people aren't holding on to the face of the door with their peanut butter fingers.
My 90 year old mother lives with us and she is thrilled with how easy it is to see and access food. That center deli-style drawer is a wonderful feature. And while we seldom use filtered water from the fridge, the feature works very well and is in a good location to keep curious grandkids from creating puddles on the kitchen floor. Counter depth means this is not a huge capacity refrigerator and freezer, but it has a better layout for our needs. It does roll forward a bit when I open the freezer due to a good seal, so I keep it from doing so by placing a hand on the fridge handles when I pull forward.
All our builder grade appliances were Whirlpool and have been workhorses. I had to buy a fancy fridge when we moved in four years ago, but all those extra features meant more to go wrong. Never again. Thanks, Whirlpool.

Fairly pleased with the fridge, but have a couple of issues. Not thrilled with how slow the water flow is from the dispenser inside the fridge; also discovered the exterior of the fridge scratches easily; in hindsight, I would prefer the deli drawer to be it's own separate drawer, as you have to open both doors to access it, plus be sure the other 2 veggie drawers are not open. A separate drawer would eliminate that.
Fridge looks very nice. Keeps everything at a very good temperature. Overall, moderately happy.

We bought this fridge about 6 months ago. Although it looks good, we find the interior space awkward. You need to have both doors open to pull out a drawer in the fridge. The freezer is not as spacious as my smaller previous fridge that had the freezer on top. And now when we use the water dispenser it sounds like pipes are rattling inside the fridge when the water stops. ... But it looks good sitting all flush with my cabinets.

This refrigerator replaced one that was 23 years old (and still running)! Gotta love Whirlpool!!!! I'm still getting used to the French Doors and bottom freezer, as the old one was a side-by-side, but we've already seen a drop in our electric bill, and a drop in the noise level in the kitchen. Love the smaller ice cube size, and I don't miss the water thru the door...it was always a mess & hard to keep clean. Overall, this frig is great. I only wish it had more freezer space.
